Windows Installer Files (The Patch Cache). The Windows root directory usually contains a folder, c: windows installer; we have noticed over time that this folder can grow to consume a significant amount of space, 2-6 gigabytes of space.
Interesting, but old (2009), discussion of this topic at SuperUser.com:. Looks like opinions are mixed on this question: some say yes, others say no; all agree that deletion requires access to another source for those files - installer media, usually - should the OS or applications affected ask for them.Ed-In this case I'm suspicious of Wise Disk Cleaner so I'll leave those files alone. I reinstalled Office 2010 since it had stopped updating Office maybe due to overenthusiastic cleaning by Wise Disk Cleaner? Have never encountered an issue, although I've never had to uninstall-reinstall.Sure, there can be no problems, I just wanted to point out the difference, that PatchCache contains backups, Installer's folder contains the original files, once removed, they are gone and if needed, it could result in an issue. Maybe it works better now, since it detects files in use, but I have tried it several times before and it never ended well for me. I love to clean whatever I can, but I just avoid this folder.

@ As a follow up - my solution has been the following The account used on my 2nd PC was the one listed under 'Email, Calendar and contacts', see my very first screenshot. I could not remove or change that account. Solution (in my case) was to reset Windows on my 2nd pc and change the username, userID, etc. To be the same as on my 1st PC. Now, on 1st PC the name/email address under 'Email, Calendar and contacts' are the same as 'admin' at the top of Settings-Accounts.
Matter now solved, the use of the 'alias' on my 2nd pc was holding me back of deleting it.
